What this page covers, and what it doesn't

These terms cover using this website: reading it, filling in the form, booking a call. They are not the contract for doing work together.

If you hire me, we sign a separate written agreement that covers the project: what I'm building, what it costs, when it's due, and who owns what at the end. That document governs the work. Nothing on this page replaces it or changes it.

The site is information, not an offer

Everything here describes what I do and roughly what it costs. Prices shown are starting points for a typical project of that kind, not quotes. Your project might cost more if it's larger, and I'll tell you plainly if I think it should cost less.

Reading this site, sending the form, or booking a call does not create a contract or oblige either of us to anything. A free consult is a conversation. Either of us can decide it isn't a fit, and that's a normal outcome rather than an awkward one.

Using the site

You're welcome to read anything here, quote a sentence or two with a link back, and send pages to whoever you like. The words, images, and code are mine unless stated otherwise, so please don't republish whole pages as your own or feed the site wholesale into something that reproduces it.

Please don't try to break the site, overwhelm it with automated requests, or use the contact form to send unsolicited sales pitches.

About the advice here

The blog and service pages describe approaches that work for a lot of small businesses. They are general, written without knowing anything about your particular situation, and they are not professional advice for your business, your finances, or your legal obligations. If something here matters to a decision you're making, talk to me or to somebody else qualified before acting on it.

I keep this site accurate and correct things when I find them wrong, but I can't promise everything is current at every moment. Tools change their pricing and features without asking me.

Links to other places

This site links to other companies' websites, and the booking calendar is run by Cal.com. Those places have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and I don't control what they do.

Liability

I provide this website as it is. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses arising from using it or from relying on something written here. This does not limit anything in a signed agreement between us, and it doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law.

Oregon law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute about the website belongs in the state or federal courts serving Jackson County, Oregon.

Changes

If these terms change, the date below changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means the current version applies.
